The student Volunteer Program For NICH took place from Tuesday 28th December 2021 to 1st January 2022 in which schools from all over Karachi participated and BVS too was a part of it. It was certainly a life changing experience to learn. The program taught our Virbaijietes alot about the problems of other people. The problems which we face are nothing as compared to the problems of these patients. In the program Virbaijietes not only made a lot of people happy by little gestures such as giving them balloons and giving them a pencil and paper to draw on but also the informative lectures that the professors and the doctors gave them taught them a lot more about our body and what to do if any situation occurs. Programs like the NICH volunteer program should be held more often in other charity hospitals in Pakistan as well because they not only tell us about the great work that these people are carrying out but it also works as an advertisement for the organisation as people like us, would prefer giving our donations to them. In this program Virbaijietes learned about the actual meaning of empathy and how it is so much better than sympathy. This program has certainly changed them as a better human being as they are now a lot more aware of the problems that the underprivileged people of Pakistan are facing. Overall this was a great program and a great opportunity that BVS is glad that it availed.
