Hand Washing Session

Hand washing session for students of classes I, II and III were conducted in the Assembly hall to show proper hand washing technique. Students were explained the importance of hand washing. Frequent and proper hand washing can save them from many diseases. Dr. Ayesha introduced the topic and started the proceedings.

Salient fractures of the session were:

  • Students were shown a multimedia presentation. Students were explained;
  • What are germs?
  • How they spread
  • When to clean hands (before and after having meals, touching pets, using toilets, coughing and sneezing)
  • Demonstrated steps of hand washing which are:

Seven steps of proper Hand Washing:

  • Turn on the water tap.
  • Put your hands under the water.
  • Lather and scrub to make foam.
  • Rub your hands together.
  • Do not forget to rub the palms, back of hands, between fingers, nails and wrist.
  • Rinse your hands thoroughly.
  • Dry your hands with a clean towel or tissue paper.
  • Volunteers among the pupils were called to demonstrate what they had learnt from the session.
