The Drama Festival week ended on a high note on Saturday 22nd February, 2020 with many Past Virbaijeeites gracing the occasion and one of them being Dr. Farooq Sattar.

The week commenced from Monday 17th February, 2020 with a morning practice and then the excitement started on Tuesday 18th February where in the evening a grand rehearsal of costumes, make-up, hairdos, lights and sound was done.

Thursday 20th, Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd, parents, students and guests and teachers and students from various schools witnessed the two plays.

“CLUE-ON STAGE” a 65 minutes production was directed and produced by Mrs. Colette Mathew. A farcical comedy, it involved six guests who are invited to a dinner by an eccentric host only to find themselves get deeper and deeper into blackmail, murder after murder and general mayhem as to WHODUNIT.

The Urdu Drama “DIYA JALAY -I- RAKHNA” written, directed and produced by Mr. Badrunnisa Zahid was a 55 minutes play and was a befitting tribute to BVS and its journey of 160 years.

On the last day, the Principal thanked all those who made the week a roaring success. What a learning curve for all the students who participate not only as actors, but who helped in direction, sound, mics, lights and overall management.

Dr. Farooq Sattar was all praise for his Alma Mater and was impressed by the English Play and its cast for being so comfortable in their roles and to have learnt such huge parts and also the thought process of the Urdu play where the motto of BVS “Towards that Best Light” was highlighted in such a suitable manner that it gives pride to all Virbaijeeites.

WELL DONE BVS!!!
