Diwali, the festival of lights and triumph of good over evil and light over darkness, was celebrated by the Hindu family members of BVS at school on the 12th and 13th of November, 2020.
A table was set up and the idol of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha were placed over a red cloth. The area was decorated with rangoli, colours, diyas, kumkum, flowers, incense, fruits and sweet meat. The students performed Puja and Sang bhajans asking Goddess Lakshmi to remove all obstacles from the world and keep all humanity safe, healthy and happy.
In the end the staff and students lit sparklers and wished each other Happy Diwali and distributed sweets.
