The Secondary Drama Festival was held on the 24th, 25th and the 26th of February, 2023. The English Literary and Dramatics Society performed their very own 75 minutes long version of “ARSENIC AND OLD LACE”, directed and produced by Mrs. Colette Adrian Mathews, originally a Broadway stage play set in Brooklyn written by playwright Joseph Kesselring involving Mortimer Brewster who tries to balance his family, work and love life whilst spiraling down a seemingly endless path of dark family secrets, murder and utter mayhem. The return of his criminally deranged brother and his drunken fool sidekick adds on to the satirical humor which is a common theme throughout
The Urdu Drama “LOG KIA KAHENGAY” written by Mrs. Shabana Naveed, directed and produced by the Urdu Dramatics society led by Mr. Mohsin Sarfaraz focused on the extremely harmful, judgmental behaviour of our people and its negative impact on individuals and in extension, the community.
The Principal showered praise for all those who made this event such a roaring success. It was truly a surreal experience and a fabulous learning curve for the students which did not only include actors but those too who helped in direction, sound, mics, lights and the overall management.
