Sports is exercise / physical activity with an objective and definite aim to overcome adversities and win. Sports help release pressure and tension in a healthy and controlled way.
BVS hosts its Annual Primary Sports Day each year to commemorate this and it is a day filled with fervor and excitement admist thrills, shrills and cheers as each and every student of the Primary has a fair chance of competing in at least one event.
This year the Annual Primary Sports Day was held on Saturday 12th November, 2022 at the Karachi Parsi Institute Ground. Mrs. Tushna Patel, member of the Inter-Faith Minority Commission and Pakistan’s first female off road rally driver was invited to grace the occasion.
The fun filled bright sports morning began with a colorful P.E Display by the students of Grades 3/4/5. Each section of the Primary had three races (one flat race and two novelty races) that went along like clock work. The races concluded with the Fastest House Relay which was won by the Quaid e Azam House.
The Chief Guest Mrs. Tushna Patel, praised the School Management, the Sports Department and the staff members who helped out in making the Sports Day a success.
She congratulated the winners and applauded the efforts of the Primary students for their discipline and sportsmen spirit.
The BVS Management would like to take this opportunity to appreciate the enthusiasm of the Primary parents who participated in the Parents’ three legged race in such a large number that the race had to be conducted twice to accommodate all parent participants. Three cheers to you our Dear Parents for your energetic interest of participation.
At the end of the programme our Principal Mrs. Mehernaz Bharucha announced The Gulbano S. Patel Primary Sports Trophy which went to the Lancelot House.
The House points are as follows:
- Lancelot House 154 points
- Rezashah House 109 points
- Soparivala House 99 points
- Quaid-e-Azam House 98 points
