This year the Primary English Project theme was “ALL ABOUT ME”. The goal of this project is to make the students be able to write all about themselves with parents taking a lead and involving active participation in this project by talking about the chain of events their sons’ cherish and share funny stories.
Students of Grades 1A/B/C were asked to bring their photos as a baby, in montessori and BVS uniform, a small favourite toy, a pair of socks worn by them, a page with their montessori handwriting, lock of hair, wrapper of their favourite candy/biscuit, used small stationery. All these items were put in a can alongwith their hand/foot prints, a class group photo and an activity sheet containing personal details that was filled by each student. These items will be canned and returned to the students in the year 2023 when they complete five years of schooling at BVS. These cans will indeed be a great rememberance for parents and students when sent home in 2023.
Students of Grades 2A/B/C made a paper cell phone with their selfie on it and picked five adjectives that best described them and pasted related emoji stickers next to the selected adjectives. A newspaper Activity Sheet on All About Me fasinating facts was also filled by each student.
An album presenting photos of childhood activities, events/occasions of different stages of life of students of Grades 3A/B/C and 4A/B/C was made by each student. A few lines related to the photos pasted in the album were written by each student.
Students of Grades 5A/B/C wrote a bio poem on All about Me using similies, metaphors, alliterations, etc., descibing key character traits of one’s self. Prior to the project day students delivered a three minute speech on a written essay on All about me , thus organising their thoughts and expressing stories about themselves confidently in front of others.
