Keeping up our tradition of entertaining the elders of the community on Parsi New Year and Jamshedi Navroze, the BVS School band this year went to BMH Parsi General Hospital on Khordad Saal (Prophet Zarathustra’s Birthday) on 22nd August, 2019 and played the National Anthem, School Song, other popular tunes and also the Parsi Anthem. Each resident was gifted hand fans embellished by the students of the school. When video of the band was sent to Zoroastrian friends overseas, most were very touched to see the Band still alive and playing with the same zeal and enthusiasm.
The traditional celebratory Parsi dish “Ravo” was also distributed to each elderly resident, thus bringing big smiles and joy on their faces.
