Annual Secondary English Elocution 2018-2019

THE ANNUAL SECONDARY IN-HOUSE ENGLISH ELOCUTION WAS HELD ON 7TH JANUARY, 2019. IT WAS EXCITING AND ENTHUSIASTIC AS THE STUDENTS SHOWED OFF THEIR TALENT. THE EVENT WAS HELD IN THE SCHOOL’S ASSEMBLY HALL.THE ELOCUTION HAD NO SPECIFIC THEMES AS POEMS OF SOME FAMOUS POETS WERE CHOSEN SUCH AS ALLAMA IQBAL, SHEL SILVERSTEIN, KEN NESBITT. STUDENTS FROM CLASS 6-9 PARTICIPATED IN THIS CONTEST AS THEY WERE DIVIDED INTO 2 GROUPS. GROUP D CONTAINED 19 STUDENTS FROM CLASSES 6-7 AND GROUP E HAD 17 STUDENTS PARTICIPATING FROM CLASSES 8-9.

THE EVENT GOT OFF TO A START AS THE PRINCIPAL ESCORTED THE JUDGES. THEN THE ENGLISH LITERARY SOCIETY SECRETARY ABDUL ARHAM REQUESTED FRAMROZE PURVEYOR TO RECITE FROM THE HOLY AVESTA.

THE ENGLISH SECRETARY THEN ASKED THE CONTESTANTS OF GROUP D TO COME UP ON STAGE ONE BY ONE TO DELIVER THE POEM. SOME POEMS WERE HUMOUROUS WHEREAS SOME WERE WITTY. THE STUDENTS GAVE IT THEIR BEST AND THAT EARNED THEM APPRECIATION FROM THE AUDIENCE.

THEN IT WAS GROUP E’S TURN TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENT WHICH THEY DID WITH CONFIDENCE. THIS GROUP OF STUDENTS GAVE US SOME LIFE LESSONS EITHER IN A HUMOUROUS WAY OR IN HEART WRENCHING WAY. OVER ALL THEY GAVE THEIR BEST TO MAKE THE EVENT A SUCCESS.

THE PRINCIPAL MRS.  KERMIN PARAKH WAS CALLED UPON STAGE TO ANNOUNCE THE RESULTS AND GIVE A WORD OF ADVICE AND APPRECIATION TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN MAKING THE PROGRAM A SUCCESS. THE JUDGE MISS YASEEN WAS CALLED BY THE PRINCIPAL TO SAY FEW WORDS OF INSPIRATION AND APPRECIATION AND GIVE AWAY THE PRIZES. MISS HUMERA WAS CALLED TO GIVE AWAY PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATES. THE JUDGES WERE FAIR WHILE TABULATING THE RESULTS WHICH ARE:

MUHAMMAD SHAFEY SAJID OF CLASS 7-C STOOD 1ST IN GROUP D, MUHAMMAD IBRAHIM FAREED OF CLASS 7-A SECURED 2ND POSITION AND MAHD AHMED OF CLASS 6-D GOT 3RD POSITION.

GROUP ‘E’ WAS A LITTLE CLOSE AS THERE WERE TWO WINNERS FOR 1ST POSITIONS ALI MANSOOR OF CLASS 9-D AND TAHA SHOAIB OF CLASS 9-E, WHILE THE 2ND POSITION ALSO HAD 2 WINNERS HUNAID HAKEEM OF CLASS 9-D AND MANQAD RAZA OF CLASS 9-C AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE 3RD POSITION ALSO HAD A TIE BETWEEN ABDUL WAHAB OF GRADE 8-D AND SAAIM ALI KHAN OF GRADE 9-C.

OVER ALL THE PROGRAM WAS A SUCCESS!
