Dear Parents & Guardians,
With the blessings of the Almighty, we reflect upon a vibrant and achievement-filled academic term at BVS Parsi High School. From August to December 2025, our students continued to shine through academic excellence, sporting triumphs, cultural celebrations, leadership initiatives, and community service. Their dedication, discipline, and compassion truly embodied the spirit and values of BVS. We are pleased to share the highlights of this enriching term.
- Eight Virbaijeeites participated in the 61st and 62nd batches of the SIUT Volunteer Programme in July 2025. Batch 61 included M. Arhum, Mustafa Iqbal, Kabir Ali Arshad, and M. Ayaan, while Batch 62 comprised Abdullah Salman, Muaz Iqbal, Abdar Raffay Kamran Syed, and Rahim Damani. Over six days, students received hands-on exposure to hospital operations, CPR training, patient care, and motivational sessions conducted by senior doctors.
- Two groups of BVS students participated in the NICH Student Volunteer Programme in June & July 2025. The first group (23rd –28th June 2025) included Syed Turab Ali, Abdul Raffay, Abdullah Haris, Devansh Lal, Ebadullah Arshad, Aroon Kumar, Shams-ul-Haq, and Ahmed Ayub. The second group (21st –26th July 2025) included Muhammad Ibrahim, Daniyal Adnan, Muhammad Ahmed Allana, Maarij Hasan Hashmi, Shaheer Khan, Ali Kazim, and Mohammad Mohid Abbasi. Students observed various wards and attended lectures on medical ethics and patient care. During the closing ceremonies, Devansh Lal and Muhammad Ahmed Allana shared their reflections. All volunteers were awarded certificates.
- The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotism and enthusiasm on 13th August 2025. The programme commenced with the National Anthem and school song, followed by a heartfelt performance by the Primary School Choir. Students from all four houses presented skits and songs reflecting national pride. Muhammad Farhan Mutallib (5-B) delivered an Urdu speech, while Syed Muhammad Deebaj Rizvi (5-B) presented an English speech. From the Secondary Section, Muhammad Shaheer Rizvi (10-D) spoke in English and Abdul Bari (9-C) delivered an Urdu speech. Principal Mrs. Mehernaz Bharucha awarded the Principal’s Medal of Academic Excellence to Azlan Asad (5-A), Asjal Hussain Mirza (7-A) Muhammad Faaiz Raja (7-E), and Abdul Wasay Narinja (6-E).
- An enlightening session on the Importance of Book Reading was conducted for students of Grades 6 and 7 by ex-Virbaijeeite Ali Shan Naqvi on 26th August 2025. The session emphasized how regular reading enhances knowledge, imagination, and critical thinking skills. Students participated actively and were motivated to develop reading as a lifelong habit.
- BVS students delivered commendable performances in the ICATS Creative Writing Contest 2025. Syed Irtiza Hassan Rizvi (7-C) secured the Provincial Topper position with an impressive 91%, reflecting exceptional creativity and clarity of thought. The School Toppers were Muhammad Ismail (7-E), Manha Ali Sherwani (8-D), and Muhammad Mudassar (9-E), highlighting their strong literary skills.
- BVS scrabblers brought immense pride to Pakistan at the World Youth Scrabble Championship held from 30th August, 2025 – 1st September, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur. Aehzam Ahmed Siddiqui (10-D) became the World Champion in the U-16 category, contributing significantly to Pakistan’s overall championship victory. Muhammad Bilal Asher (9-D) ranked 6th in the world and secured 2nd position in U-16. Both Aehzam Ahmed and Bilal Asher contributed equally with 34 combined victories—17 wins each—as Pakistan won the World Youth Scrabble Championship, earning them the Best Team’s Trophy. In individual performances, Syed Maaz Hasan Faridi of (10-C) achieved an impressive 15th place in the world, Shahjahan Ahmed of (9-E) secured 68th place, Hamza Bin Hammad of (7-D) stood 105th, and Syed Musaab Hasan Faridi of (6-C) achieved 157th place in the Championship.
- At the Nazeer Hussain University Chess Tournament on 2nd September 2025, Daniyal Jawwad (11-E) secured 1st position in the U-16 category, while Zohaib Jawwad (9-D) achieved 1st position in the U-14 category. Both students displayed strategic thinking, concentration, and competitive excellence.
- BVS students continued their winning streak at the Kuala Lumpur Gateway Scrabble Tournament
4th-7th September 2025. Shahjahan Ahmed (9-E) secured 2nd position in the Youth Division and 1st position in the U-15 category. Syed Musaab Hasan Faridi (6-C) placed 6th, while Syed Maaz Hasan Faridi (10-C) secured 2nd position in the Middlers’ Division, reflecting consistent international-level performance.
- At the Generation’s Interschool Declamation Contest hosted by Generation School on 16th September 2025, Muhammad Ali Jalal (11-D) secured 1st position in the English category, while Agha Muhammad Murtaza (11-D) achieved 2nd position in the Urdu category.
- On the occasion of Navratri, the Hindu students and teachers of Grades 2 and 3 visited temples for the Darshan of Maa. On 23rd September 2025, the Grade 2 students visited Panchmukhi Hanumanji Mandir in Soldier Bazar, while the Grade 3 students visited Mahadev Mandir in Clifton on 24th September 2025. At both temples, the students and teachers offered prashad with devotion and prayed for Maa’s blessings and for the continued prosperity of the school.
- The Mathematics Club of BVS Parsi High School organized the Rubik’s Cube Championship 2025 for students of Grades 4 to 9, following the success of the 2024 contest. The competition, divided into three categories, began with class-level preliminaries, and the top qualifiers advanced to the Grand Finale on 23rd September 2025. In Category 1 (Grades 4 & 5), Syed Bilal Saghir (5A) secured first place, Ali Danish (4C) second, and Maaz Mudassir (5B) third. In Category 2 (Grades 6 & 7), Musa Asad (7E) was first, Muhammad Ahmed Faisal (7C) second, and Muhammad Ibrahim (7E) third. In Category 3 (Grades 8 & 9), Faizan Faisal (9D) claimed first place, followed by Usman Hassan (9D) second and Syed Mohib Arsalan (8C) third. The event also inspired other participants through demo sessions and online practice organized by the Maths Club.
- The Middle School Projects (MSP) for Grades 6, 7, and 8 provided meaningful learning experiences in September–October 2025, where students explored themes such as overpopulation, social responsibility, and interconnected systems, developing research, collaboration, presentation, and critical thinking skills through hands-on activities.
- BVS successfully conducted its first Online Career Pathway Session for Grade 8 students on 11th October 2025. Distinguished alumni from Pakistan and abroad shared insights into academic choices, career planning, and emerging professional fields. The session proved highly informative for students and parents alike.
- BVS delegates participated in the Dawood Academic League MUN (DALMUN) Conference on 11th and 12th of October 2025, competing across multiple committees. Students won several awards including Best Delegate, Outstanding Diplomacy, and Honourable Mentions, with BVS Delegation A emerging as Champion Delegation, reflecting excellence in debate and diplomacy.
- The BVS Parsi High School was proud to announce the outstanding results of our students in the International FSP English Linguistics Competition 2025, which were declared on 13th October 2025. National achievers Abdul Wassey Narinja (7-E), Luksh Kumar (9-D), and Ebadullah Arshad (10-D) each scored 100%, earning a gold medal, certificate, and smart watch. Provincial achievers Rao Muhammad Mikael (7-E), M. Bilal Zeeshan (8-D), Usman Umer (9-B), and Basir Ahmed (10-D) scored 95.6%, receiving a silver medal, certificate, and wireless neckband, reflecting their exceptional skill and dedication.
- On 15th October 2025, the Primary Urdu Elocution Competition took place at BVS Parsi High School, where enthusiastic students from Grades 1 to 5 delivered heartfelt speeches. Syed Mustafa Ali (1-B), Syed Farhan Raza Rizvi (4-A), and Muhammad Furqan (5-B) secured the top positions.
- Diwali, the festival of lights, was celebrated with devotion and joy at BVS on 17th October 2025 by Hindu students and staff members. The assembly hall was decorated with festive artwork, bhajans were sung, prasad was offered, and gifts were distributed, promoting unity, respect, and cultural harmony.
- The Alpha Sports Festival Scrabble Competition 2025 at Alpha College began on 20th October 2025, where BVS students excelled across multiple categories. Syed Maaz Hassan Faridi (10-C) and Hamza Bin Hammad (7-E) became Champions of the U-15 and U-13 categories, Aehzam Ahmed (10-E) and Shahjahan Ahmed (9-E) secured 2nd positions in the U-17 and U-15 categories, and Syed Hussain Ali (10-D) finished 3rd in U-15. BVS swept the U-15 category, winning 5 out of 9 awards.
- Muhammad Asjal (8-D), Muhammad Musab (8-E), and Bilal Zeeshan (8-D) represented BVS in the GEO Quiz Competition held at Happy Home School on 23rd October 2025, where they secured 1st position, showcasing excellent general knowledge, confidence, and teamwork.
- On 26th October 2025, the first Pakistan Mathematics Contest (PMC-5), a nationwide competition for Grade 5 students organized by Sunder STEM School, was successfully held. BVS boys achieved remarkable results: Ibrahim ul Hoda (5-B) secured a Top 10 position and a cash prize of 10,000, while Asher Ali Khan (5-B) received a cash prize of 3,000.
- On 28th October 2025, Ali Aalay Raza and Ahmed Farooq of Grade 11-D participated in the Teq Ball Competition at the Alpha Sports Festival, securing 1st and 2nd positions respectively, and demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and skill.
- Musab Adnan (4-A) and Ali Danish (4-C) represented the school at the Inter-School Maths Smart Contest held at Reflections School on 29th October 2025. Competing among participants from nine schools, Musab Adnan secured 2nd position while Ali Danish achieved 3rd position, showcasing strong problem-solving skills, logic, and accuracy.
- BVS Parsi High School hosted the Inter-School Urdu Elocution Competition on 30th October 2025, bringing together talented speakers from various schools to celebrate the beauty of Urdu poetry, including works by Allama Iqbal. Irteza Naseem (10-E) won first place, receiving the Urdu Elocution shield, with guest schools also delivering commendable performances.
- The Primary English Elocution Competition was held on 30th October 2025 to build confidence and communication skills among young learners. Students from Grades 1 to 5 participated enthusiastically. The Navroji Ratanji Wadia Primary English Elocution Shield was awarded to Syed Muhammad Deebaj Rizvi (5-B) for his outstanding performance.
- At the Nido Hum Spelling Whizz 2025, a nationwide spelling competition, BVS Parsi High School secured the top position in the Karachi Region in October 2025. Following this achievement, a team of three students represented the school at the National Grand Finale in Lahore. In the final round, Muhammad Hussain Shaikh (5-C) secured 2nd position (1st Runner-Up) in the 9–11 years age group, reflecting strong vocabulary skills and confidence.
- At the Intelligence Robotics Competition hosted by Quantum Academy on 1st November 2025 at North Walk, Phase 1, BVS achieved remarkable success across multiple categories. Team Robotician—Kazi Abdul Wali and Syed Saad Ullah Jilan—won the Robo Mission category, while Team Cyber Assign, comprising Sinaan Ubaid and Muhammad Arham Shehzad, secured 1st position in Robo Soccer. The Battle Bot Brilliance Award was earned by Muhammad Meekal Noman and Abdullah Adil Naseer (Team Cyber Sec), and the Structural Integrity Award was claimed by Ayan Khan Lodhi and Hamza Bin Hammad (Team Neon Bots), highlighting excellence in innovation, design, and teamwork.
- On 2nd November 2025, the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was held at BVS, where Mr. Favad Soomro, CEO of The Dawood Foundation, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He distributed prizes among the high achievers of BVS, appreciating their academic excellence, dedication, and hard work, and encouraging students to continue striving for success.
- At the Elevate 2.0 – Inter-School Competition organized by Habib Girls’ School on 3rd November 2025, BVS secured 1st position in the Robo Soccer category. The winning team included Kazi Abdul Wali (7-E) and Muhammad Moosa Khan (7-D), who showcased outstanding technical expertise, innovation, and teamwork.
- From 4th – 5th November 2025, the Pakistan Maths Challenge (PMC) 2025 was held, bringing together students from across Pakistan. BVS boys achieved remarkable success: Aariz Ali (8-A) and Muhammad Mujtaba Shah (10-D) earned the Epic Certificate with Silver Medal, while Muhammad Abaan Hussain (8-C), Muhammad Ahmed Hussain (8-D), Abdullah Khilji (10-D), Muhammad Hasnain (10-D), and Shaheer Khan (10-D) received the Diamond Certificate with Bronze Medal.
- On 5th November 2025, students and teachers from the Cambridge Section visited the Juvenile Section of Central Jail Karachi as part of their project on street crimes and their impact on society.
- At the “Logic Legends” Inter-School Coding Competition hosted by Dawood Public School on 13th November 2025, BVS students delivered an exceptional performance, showcasing creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. Team Scratch Squad, comprising Aqdas Adil and Turab Haider (6-D), secured 1st position in the Scratch Coding & Quiz Competition, demonstrating strong logical thinking and innovative design. In the Python Coding & Quiz Competition, Team FBI—Muhammad Bashaar Jawwad Sherazi and Muhammad Faaiz Raja (8-E)—also achieved 1st position, impressing judges with efficient coding and technical expertise.
- Primary Sports Day took place at the Karachi Parsi Institute Ground on 15th November 2025. Students participated in track and novelty races, displaying teamwork and sportsmanship. Lancelot House won the Gulbano S. Patel Primary Sports Trophy, earning the highest house points.
- On 18th November 2025, the BVS Social Spirit Society organized an awareness visit to the Parwarish Recovery Centre, Malir, focusing on drug rehabilitation and its impact on individuals and society.
- The BVS Parsi High School participated in the 18th Annual Inter-School Declamation Contest hosted by The Avicenna School Campus on 22nd November 2025. Competing against participants from over 15 schools, M. Arshmaan Vohra (9-C), Irteza Naseem (10-E), and Gaurav Omprakash (11-D) each secured 2nd position in their respective categories, showcasing exceptional speaking skills and talent.
- The Secondary Urdu Elocution Competition 2025 was held at BVS Parsi High School on
22nd November 2025, showcasing powerful poems from students of Grades 6 to 9. Participants impressed judges and audience alike with their confident oratory skills.
- On 27th November 2025, the Hindu students of Grade 1 visited Shree Swaminarayan Mandir for Darshan of Devi Devta. The students offered prayers and prashad, seeking the blessings of Bhagwanji and Mataji.
- The 35th National Games Karachi were held from 6th to 13th December 2025, with the Chess Category games taking place at the Next School. Maarib Farzan secured 4th position, receiving a bronze medal and a certificate of appreciation for his excellent performance.
- Grade 8 students visited Debal, Makli, and Keenjhar Jheel on 13th December 2025. This educational excursion helped students connect classroom learning with real-world historical and geographical sites, promoting curiosity, observation skills, and environmental awareness.
- Grade 6 students visited Mohenjo-daro on 20th December 2025 as part of an educational field trip. The visit provided students with firsthand exposure to the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, enhancing their understanding of history, architecture, and heritage while making learning engaging and meaningful.
- The Scrabble Champions Trophy was held at BVS Parsi High School on 20th and 21st December 2025, bringing together the best Scrabblers of Karachi. Saad Vohra (10-D) secured 1st position in the Advanced Category, receiving a cash prize, while Huzaifa Amir (7-C) became Champion of the Recreational Category, earning a shield for his outstanding performance.
- The Under-17 Futsal Team participated in the futsal tournament organized by Foundation Public School and emerged as the runners-up, displaying commendable teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit.
- The 33rd Karpov Chess Tournament was held on 21st December 2025, where Muhammad Aazim Salman (11-E) secured 2nd position.
- Muhammad Ahmed (10-E), Muhammad Faris (10-A), Devansh Lal (10-E), and Ebadullah Arshad (10-D) participated in the 63rd batch of the SIUT Volunteer Programme from 22nd – 27th December 2025. Students assisted in hospital wards, attended motivational sessions, and reflected on their experiences during the closing ceremony. All volunteers were awarded certificates.
- Grade 7 students went on an educational trip to Hala, the Ajrak Factory, and Bhit Shah on 26th December 2025. The visit allowed students to explore Sindh’s rich cultural heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and historical significance, fostering appreciation for local art, history, and traditions.
- At the Prime Minister’s Initiative Chess Tournament, organized by the Chess Federation of Pakistan on 27th and 28th December 2025, our Virbaijeeites delivered impressive performances. Maadhav Kumar (9-C) secured 1st position in the Classical Chess U-14 age category, while Daniyal Jawwad (11-E) achieved 4th position in the U-16 age category.
- Qaim Abbas (11-E), Ebadullah Arshad (10-D), and Aaliyan (9-E) volunteered at the Karachi Institute of Kidney Diseases (K.I.K.D.A) from 29th December 2025 to 3rd January 2026. The programme enhanced students’ understanding of patient care, teamwork, and service to humanity. Certificates were awarded upon completion.
- BVS students excelled in multiple chess and scrabble tournaments, including the KGMST Tournament, Prime Minister’s Initiative Chess Tournament, Karpov Chess Tournaments, and the Scrabble Champions Trophy, achieving top positions, trophies, medals, and certificates in December 2025.
- In December 2025, the Primary Section enjoyed a month full of learning, creativity, and festive cheer. Students expressed seasonal joy in Art and Craft activities, participated in an Outdoor Breakfast promoting healthy habits and cooperation, and went on field trips to the Karachi Zoological Garden (Grades 1–2) and National Museum (Grade 3 ABC) to explore animals, history, and heritage. Fathers joined for “Dads as Teachers”, strengthening parent-school bonds, while students practiced diligently for the upcoming concert “The Wizard of OZ”. The term ended with class parties, complete with fun activities and a surprise visit by Santa, adding magic to the celebrations.
- The KGMST Scrabble and Chess Tournament, organized by Karachi Grammar School College Section on 2nd and 3rd January 2026, saw BVS students achieve remarkable success. In Scrabble, Hamza Bin Hammad (7-D) became Juniors Champion, M. Ayaan Khan Lodhi (7-E) was named Most Emerging Player (Juniors), and Azaan Chhipa (9-D) earned Most Emerging Player (Seniors). In Chess, M. Ahmed Jamali (8-E) secured Juniors Champion, earning shields and certificates for their outstanding performances.
- The 34th Karpovian Chess Tournament at the Karpovian Chess Academy, DHA Phase 6, was held on
4th January 2026. Muhammad Aazim Salman (11-E) participated in the U-18 age category and secured 3rd position, winning 5.5 out of 7 games.
