The Mathematics Club of BVS Parsi High School proudly organized the Rubik’s Cube Championship 2025 for students of Grades 4 to 9, following the success of the inaugural contest in 2024 which had sparked tremendous enthusiasm and established the event as an annual tradition. This year’s contest was divided into three categories Grades 4 & 5, Grades 6 & 7, and Grades 8 & 9 and conducted in two rounds, with the preliminary round held within each class and the top three qualifiers advancing to the Grand Finale on Tuesday, 23rd September 2025. The finale was filled with excitement as students impressed everyone by solving cubes in mere seconds, and winners were declared category-wise with their outstanding times: In Category 1, Syed Bilal Saghir (5A) secured first place in 23.72 seconds, followed by Ali Danish (4C) in 41.32 seconds and Maaz Mudassir (5B) in 51.87 seconds; In Category 2, Musa Asad (7E) claimed first position in 31.56 seconds, with Muhammad Ahmed Faisal (7C) second in 31.97 seconds and Muhammad Ibrahim (7E) third in 33.82 seconds; while In Category 3, Faizan Faisal (9D) achieved the fastest overall time of 21.09 seconds, followed by Usman Hassan (9D) in 27.38 seconds and Syed Mohib Arsalan (8C) in 37.03 seconds. The event not only showcased talent but also inspired struggling participants through demo sessions in the Computer Lab and online practice conducted by the Maths Club.
The championship concluded with a prize distribution where the first-place winner in each category was honored with a shield and gifts while the finalists received useful gifts such as scientific calculators and geometry boxes to recognize their hard work and success. The success of this championship was made possible through the support of the Mathematics Department, the valuable contribution of judges Ms Sobia Zeeshan, Mr. Aazar, Ms. Rozina, and Mr. Sajid & Mr sharjeel the efforts of Mr. Karim Hashwani for preparing certificates and Mr Mutasim for designing the trophy, and the dedication of our student volunteers. From its launch in 2024 to this year’s finale, the Rubik’s Cube Championship has grown into a hallmark event of BVS, celebrating perseverance, problem-solving, and mathematical spirit.
